The prayer hall of the temple is known as Jagmohan , its wall’s paintings depict many mythological scenes. The shutters of the sanctum are covered with silver sheets. The entrance and exit gates have beautiful ornamental floral designs.
Bathing in the Shyam Kund: The idol was retrieved in the holy kund, a dip in this cures a person from ailments and brings good health.
Types of Aarti performed in Khatu Shyamji Temple:
- Mangala Aarti: It is performed in the early morning when the temple is opened.
- Shringaar Aarti: It is performed at the time of make-up of Baba Shyam. At this time His idol is grandly ornamented.
- Bhog Aarti: It is performed at noon when the bhog (Prasadam) is served to the Lord.
- Sandhya Aarti: It is performed in the evening, at sunset.
- Sayana Aarti: It is performed in the night before the temple is closed.
